How a simple set of questions turned into a meaningful connection.
My Journey to Finding THE ONE
In my own search for The One, I realized how much I dreaded the very first meeting. The same small talk. The same predictable questions. The same awkward pauses while trying to figure out what to say next.
So I decided to do something different.
I began writing a short list of thoughtful questions I called my Meet & Greet. Questions designed to spark real conversation — the kind that goes beyond surface-level chatter and actually helps two people connect. Every time I introduced the idea, the response was the same: “I’m game.”
Suddenly, dating felt different. The conversations flowed. Laughter replaced nerves. Instead of struggling to find things to talk about, we discovered things about each other that normally take weeks — or months — to uncover.
On October 8th, I used those same questions again. The conversation was so engaging that we talked for hours without realizing how much time had passed. Unknowingly, in that very moment, I met THE ONE. This date October 8th is the reason these cards are called The1008 Dating Game.
From there, the questions became part of our relationship. We spent weekends over dinner and drinks continuing the conversations. Nothing was off limits. We even began texting each other two questions a day — questions we’d answer individually and then talk about when we were together. We even started utilizing the questions via text every day until we saw each other again. Two questions every day back and forth. Over time, those questions added up to something powerful.
Today, we joke that more than 10,000 questions later, we know each other better than anyone else in our lives.
That experience became the foundation of The 1008® Dating Card Series.
Each box represents a different stage of connection — from first conversations to deeper intimacy and long-term clarity. Our sincere hope is that these cards help you enjoy the dating process again, turn every Meet & Greet into something meaningful, and maybe even learn something about yourself along the way.
Here’s to curiosity, connection, and finding The One.
